**About this vacancy**:
This revised Data Scientist Lead position at TMC is tailored for a seasoned data science professional with a strategic mindset who can provide both technical expertise and leadership to drive impactful, data-driven solutions. You’ll play a key role in shaping data science strategy, overseeing high-impact projects, and guiding a talented team of data professionals across diverse industries, including technology, manufacturing, and energy.

Strategic Data Science Leadership: Lead and influence the development of a data science roadmap aligned with business objectives, identifying key opportunities where data insights can drive innovation and efficiency across sectors.

High-Impact Solution Development: Take ownership of major projects, designing and optimizing advanced, data-driven solutions that address critical challenges for clients. Ensure solutions are scalable, robust, and aligned with industry best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a strategic bridge between data engineering, analytics, and business units, aligning stakeholders around data initiatives that support overall business strategy.

Guiding Model Development and Deployment: Oversee the development, validation, and deployment of machine learning and AI models. Champion model governance, performance tracking, and continual optimization to ensure long-term impact.

Cloud Infrastructure Oversight: Direct the use of modern cloud platforms (preferably Azure), ensuring solutions are built for scale and aligned with TMC’s technology roadmap.

Mentorship and Team Development: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering an environment of growth and collaboration. Encourage best practices in model development, testing, and data governance.

Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: Engage regularly with key business leaders to understand and translate business goals into actionable data strategies, ensuring data science initiatives deliver maximum value.

**What we expect from you**:
Cloud Proficiency: Practical experience with Azure, including Azure ML and Databricks, is essential.

Advanced Data Science Techniques: Expertise in model development, validation, and deployment within a production environment.

Data Quality Enhancement: Strong experience in data cleaning, feature engineering, and data modeling to improve model efficacy.

DevOps/MLOps Familiarity: Ability to implement CI/CD frameworks and automated pipelines to streamline model deployment and maintenance (required)

Testing and Version Control: Knowledge of various testing strategies and proficiency with Git/GitHub.

Experience: 3-5 years in a data science role with tangible production-level project impacts.

Leadership and Mentoring: Capability to guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
