Trainee Business Analyst

**Mission**:
**Your Role**
As a trainee, you are passionate about data and curious to link different data sets to provide business insights? If so we have a great opportunity for you at our headquarters in Boxmeer.

As a trainee you will play a key role supporting the sales, marketing and finance to optimize the data flow and data quality in our sales and finance excel files. You will be helping to optimize and optimizing our data sources and link different data files to develop dashboards to provide better insights into sales reporting, pricing and assist in key account approach. You will also contribute to other commercial excellence and financial projects, and play a key role in their successful implementation and measurement of these projects.

Whether involved in one change project or a number of projects, your day-to-day responsibilities could include attending meetings, ensuring you have the data required to provide analysis, and agreeing the best way to present findings, or get your head around excel files and optimize data.

**Responsibilities**
For this position, we are looking for a motivated trainee business analyst intern who is eager to learn and explore how to provide interesting data to the business unit in order to streamline processes and find better ways to improve data. Your tasks include:

- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting sales data: Create a uniform sales reporting tool, dashboard that enables to have a monthly overview of margins, volumes, unit prices, invoice amount, weights and create a link with financial files and other excel sources, followed by implementation in PowerBI.
- Monitoring and analyzing competitive activity, customer, and market trends: Set up a global longer term market price prognoses tool to link historic and future market price prognoses with weights and sales prices. Review competitor pricing models, competitive developments and market trends and calculate effects it has on the product portfolio and pricing.
- Providing actionable insights to guide the sales and marketing teams: Provide monthly overviews of margins, volumes, unit prices, to sales teams and price deviations. Provide quarterly overview (or in case of changes ) more often on competitors, market developments, and market prices.
- Contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives: Work closely with regional and opco managers in updating sales plans, sales budgets and actions to reach determined sales budgets.
- Monitoring and evaluating sales performance: Provide overviews to show impact of sales performance on BU P &L and financial performance.
- Forecasting demand, revenue, and expenses: Within sales reporting system look forward to ordering structure and market developments and implications on margins, production forecast.
- Determining sales potential and making recommendations: Provide guidelines on pricing, rebate structure and pricing models based on historic sales, budgets and market prognoses.

**Profil**:
**Your Profile**
In your role, you will report to the Marketing & Sales Excellence Director for the Swine business unit, but you also will work closely with finance and the different sales regions.
- You are college student (at least a second-year) with an undergraduate degree in Business management, accounting, or other
- Eager to work and analyze data and use this data to make comprehensive overview
- Experienced in excel skills, knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
- You can speak and write Dutch or English.
