About you and this role

Almost finished your engineering studies but don’t know what role fits you? Then our Operations Rotational Program might be what you are looking for

Hosting more than 55 nationalities, Dow Terneuzen is the second largest integrated production site of Dow worldwide and plays a key role in the development and production of basic chemicals. Our three naphtha crackers convert crude oil into ethylene, propylene, benzene, and butadiene, from which over 800 different products are being created. Furthermore, the site hosts state-of-the-art research facilities and a multitalented integrated center supporting the Dow businesses for various functions.

Starting September 2025, you will experience two different job assignments of 6 months within Operations. You will take on challenging projects and learn best practices and processes through which you will acquire business-critical competencies alongside a mentor who supports you through this journey. You will collaborate with people from various cultural backgrounds to create innovative solutions for tomorrow’s challenges.

At the conclusion of the rotational program, you will seek a starting position within Dow.

Responsibilities

What you will experience:
You will have the opportunity to gain experience in two of the following job roles, based on your interest and the availability:
- Improvement Engineer: Identifies opportunities within a manufacturing plant to enhance safety, reliability, and production. Facilitates communication between functions such as engineering, maintenance, and construction to implement changes. Manages the scope, implementation, and start-up of projects.- Process Engineer: Designs chemical processes and utilities. Designs and specifies process equipment. Conducts steady state and dynamic modeling of processes and fluid networks. Evaluates process control and safety systems- Mechanical or Electrical Engineer: Design/specification of new mechanical or electrical equipment. Maintenance Engineer providing technical support to execute repairs and equipment troubleshooting.

Qualifications- Recent or soon to be master’s degree graduate in engineering before September 2025- Fluent in English

Preferred Skills- Communication skill: clearly and effectively exchange information and ideas between team members and leaders.- Technical engineering skills- You’re a true team player- Passion for learning and development- Bring in your innovative mindset- Knowledge of Dutch or a willingness to learn.
