**The Opportunity**

In this position, you’ll lead complex, multidisciplinary projects for some of the world’s largest tech companies. You’ll be at the forefront of data centre design innovation, driving sustainability and energy efficiency across the sector. This role offers the chance to lead high-performing teams, shape industry-leading projects, and secure new business opportunities within a growing market.

**As a Data Centres Projects Delivery and Work Winning Leader at Arup, you will**:

- Lead the development of data centre projects from initial client engagement to completion, ensuring the highest standards in project delivery.
- Provide leadership in work-winning activities, securing new projects and fostering relationships with existing clients in the data centre market.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable design and project management services.
- Act as the senior project/design manager or project director, ensuring all designs and documents are prepared to the highest standards.
- Integrate and promote sustainable solutions in project delivery, shaping clients’ strategies to meet their sustainability goals.
- Identify future markets and engage with potential clients to secure a strong work pipeline.

We’re seeking someone passionate about sustainable design and innovative data centre solutions. These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position:

- **10+ years of experience** in the data centre market, with a background in engineering, architecture, or project management.
- **Experience leading complex, large-scale multidisciplinary projects**, acting as the main point of contact for clients and being responsible for overall project success.
- **Proven track record in business development**, work-winning, and client relationship management, particularly in the data centre sector.
- **Strong commercial acumen**, with experience managing project budgets, contracts, and client negotiations.
- **Comprehensive understanding of data centre design and operation**, including knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and cooling systems, as well as the integration of sustainable and low-carbon solutions.
- **Familiarity with industry standards** and regulations related to data centre design and construction (e.g., ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, BREEAM, LEED).
- **Proficiency in project management methodologies** and tools, with the ability to oversee the project lifecycle from initiation to delivery.
- **Excellent written and oral communication skills**, with the ability to present ideas and influence senior stakeholders.
- **Ability to mentor and develop junior team members**, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.
- **Willingness to travel** **as required for client engagements and project delivery.
