The position is financed by the Dutch Research Council NWO through a grant “NWA Innovative projects within routes 2024”. NWA projects contribute to increasing the societal and scientific impact of the route of the Dutch Science agenda.

Aim of the project is to explore the production of exotic nuclei in the laboratory to answer fundamental questions in nuclear physics as well as transferring knowledge from the nuclear physics community to the medical community.

**Requirements**:

- PhD in experimental nuclear physics.
- Experience in state-of-the-art data acquisition, in-flight separators, ion guiding and stopping.
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written form in English.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passion and talent for education.

**Conditions of employment**:
We offer you in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities
- a salary of € 4,060 gross per month (salary scale 10.4) based on a full-time position (1.0 FTE), depending of relevant work experience after attaining a PhD.
- a holiday allowance of 8% gross annual income.
- an 8.3% end-of-the-year allowance.
- a full-time position for 18 months (spring 2025).
