In recent years, ING has invested a lot of effort in developing Business Banking and reached business maturity in a number of countries. The next steps involve further digitization of the core business and advancing the commercial strategy, while staying on top of regulatory requirements. Key focus is hereby on two overarching strategic priorities: creating a superior, differentiating, and personal experience for our customers, while putting sustainability at the heart of what we do.

**ING Business Banking** is part of Retail Banking and one of the three pillars next to Private Individuals and Private Banking & Wealth Management.

The segment covers three types of customers:

- ** Self-employed and micro companies**: Independent professionals or small companies that employ up to 10 people and have a turnover up to one million euros.
- ** SMEs**: Small to medium-sized companies that employ between 10 and 250 people and have a turnover of between one and 10 million euros.
- ** Mid-corporates**: Sophisticated larger companies employing more than 250 employees with a turnover of between 10 million and 250 million euros.

Business Banking serves customers across eight markets: the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Germany and Australia. Our customers are focused on managing and growing their businesses profitably in an ever-changing and increasingly complex environment. Our goal is to support them through relevant, seamless, trusted and personal financial solutions in key moments.

We are therefore advancing our digitalisation roadmap to create an exceptional and seamless customer experience by digitalising key customer journeys: from onboarding to customer in life, from lending solutions to daily banking and payments. We have placed emphasis on critical customer journeys, including digital Onboarding in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, and Turkey. Furthermore, we offer Instant and Fast-Track Lending solutions in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Romania, and Turkey to cater to our customers' lending requirements. These solutions have significantly enhanced our end-to-end digital rates for lead-to-cash and customer acquisition journeys.

At the same time, Business Banking is recognizing its responsibility to society to define new ways of doing business that align economic growth with positive environmental and social impact. This commitment to sustainability leadership brings many business opportunities, but there are also new risks that we have to manage as well as choices to make. In this context, the segment has crafted a sustainability strategy and is focused on coordinating its execution, engaged in key projects across countries.

The Global Business Banking team is looking for a new Strategy Lead to support ING on these topics. She or he will be a part of the Global Business Banking management team and report to the Global Head of Business Banking, having the opportunity to shape the overall strategic direction for Business Banking, while working in close collaboration with various stakeholders on global and local level.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- ** Strategy**:
Driving the long-term vision of the Business Banking segment, formalizing our strategic narrative and segment priorities. This includes preparing MBB/ SB/ senior management presentations and other key strategic discussions/ ad hoc requests.
- ** Business Development**:
Supporting our Business Banking countries in strategy/ business development, with a special focus on new growth markets (e.g. Germany, Australia, Italy). This includes strategic direction setting, business case development and potential M&A discussions in close collaboration with our countries, Finance, Ops, Tech and other key stakeholders.
- ** Digitalization roadmap**:
Coordinating progress measurement of our digitalization efforts, aligning definitions across Business Banking countries and ING functions, ensuring a coherent way of reporting through our “Traffic Lights” methodology and best practice sharing across countries.
- ** NPS measurement**:
Coordinating our globally coherent relational NPS measurement program, translating insights into action across countries. Laying the foundation of a globally coherent transactional customer satisfaction program on journey level, in alignment with all relevant stakeholders.
- ** Comms & Brand strategy**:
Coordinating our communication strategy, focusing on disseminating our Business Banking narrative to further build the segment. This includes the development of our brand strategy for the segment, translating insights from our brand tracker into insights in close collaboration with the CoE Brand & Comms.

Coordinating our people strategy in close collaboration with HR, monitoring progress through our globally coherent people dashboards, sharing learnings and best practices across countries, and supporting the acceleration our talent approach/roadmap.
