As a visual merchandise manager in Amsterdam, you are responsible for this shopping experience. Together with the team, you will create an inspiring shopping environment that surprises the customer with every visit to our store.

**What you'll be doing day to day**

At IKEA we do everything together. As a branch, we create the best experience for our customers. In your role as manager you manage the Visual Merchandise team and you are the coach on the floor. Within the Communication & Interior Design (Com&in) department, you and the team are responsible for the layout of the store and product presentation. The aim is to show IKEA as a specialist in the field of home furnishings. The IKEA concept? That is what you are and what you radiate. To your team members and other partners. Through good planning you provide direction to your team, allowing us to achieve our goals. You work intensively with other teams such as Sales and Logistics. What you will do next:

- monitoring the concept in terms of layout and range presentation.
- supporting the team with renovation projects in the store, you discuss progress and help make a clear planning.
- increasing the knowledge level within the team by building a good network with other visual merchandise managers in the country.
- performing various HR tasks such as appraisal interviews and discussing personal development.

As a manager you work in our Com&in department. This department consists of approximately 20 inspiring colleagues who are specialists in the field of home furnishings. The team consists of interior designers, store communication and your team of visual merchandisers. As a team we continue to develop. And making mistakes is part of that. There is therefore a pleasant working atmosphere in which everyone can and is allowed to be themselves.

- you have an interest and feeling for design and see working within a concept as a challenge.
- you are good at planning, organizing and managing multiple activities and projects at the same time.
- you have experience with management, preferably in a retail environment. Vm experience is a plus.
- you have achieved HBO working and thinking level through training or work experience.
- You are very skilled in both oral and written communication. You know how to convey complex information in a clear and understandable way to colleagues, customers and other stakeholders.

What we do today, we will do a little better tomorrow. Because together we take care of people and the environment. And IKEA also takes good care of you in the meantime. Start as a Visual Merchandising Manager and receive, based on 38 hours per week:

- A gross monthly salary between €4,300 and €6,000, depending on your knowledge and experience. The latter amount is the maximum of the scale to which you can grow in this role.
- A 13th month and 8% holiday pay. These are paid out in December and May by default, but you can also choose to receive them monthly.
- A collective bonus scheme. This is determined annually and amounts to a maximum of 150% of your gross monthly salary.
