**Global Procurement Excellence Manager**

Within the Global Procurement Department of our Global Head Office in Hoofddorp we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Procurement Excellence Manager to join our dynamic team.

As a member of the Global Procurement Team, the Head of Procurement Excellence will contribute to maximize performance & value by leading the team of functional excellence & driving the execution of improvement initiatives in partnership with Business Units, Category Managers and SHV Holding counterpart. The role is reporting into the Global Procurement Director.

This role is critical to drive organizational change through upskilling capabilities on People, Process, Tools and Systems to ensure the Procurement function delivers high performance on a consistent basis.

This role is accountable for design and execution of the excellence roadmap in procurement & managing the team for its execution.

**The key activities of this position in detail are**:
**1. Define the procurement improvement roadmap for 2025 onwards and drive and measure maturity improvement within BUs and categories**
- Develop (and review) Procurement Excellence strategy (including roadmap) and plan based on present and future needs and expectations (fit-for purpose approach per BUs)
- Design the continuation of the transformation roadmap for Procurement
- Re-evaluate the maturity assessment approach in alignment with BUs
- Lead both internal & external benchmarks for the function to drive and enhance functional performance
- Drive the Sustainability Roadmap discussion with category managers and liase with Sustainable Development and Ethics and Compliance Departments
- Co-develop with the team and support the execution of the Digital Roadmap for Procurement ensuring the delivery of actionable insights to the organization
- Agree on Top Must Do’s, KPI’s and targets for 2025 and beyond with the BU Procurement Heads. Actively look for ways in which to improve key performance indicators and ensure continuous improvements in the results for the scope.
- Track and analyse value, validate procurement performance results and execute performance management

**2. Lead Procurement process improvement within the organization**
- Oversee with the team the **_S2C (Source to Contract)_** ensuring the effectiveness of the processes and adoption of the tools in collaboration with Category managers and other relevant departments (Audit, IT, Ethics and Compliance, Operations, etc)
- Oversee with the team the **_P2P (Purchase to Pay)_** processes and tools in collaboration with Finance and other teams affected
- Co-define and regularly track procurement policies, guidelines, methodologies and processes
- Co-develop tools for reporting (spend analytics, KPIs, Global BI Procurement platform, risk management, etc.) which, where possible, are aligned with SHV Holding
- Lead the team to ensure the consistence and compliance of procurement processes to measure strategic sourcing performance, including but not limited to capturing category value delivery (Procurement Value and FCF), forecast of inflation for budget, risks & opportunities pipeline & net impact in the P&L
- Monitor risk areas and gaps in procurement processes, by reviewing KPIs and audit reports and pro-actively identify risk mitigation plans and corrective actions to continuously optimize process performance (in connection with BSF)
- Create and implement transparent, efficient and uniform systems and tools for procurement manuals, policies, contract templates to be available for procurement and stakeholders teams
- Drive supplier due-diligence and monitoring practices implementation in collaboration with respective stakeholders

**3. Be an ambassador of procurement and create relevant communications with all levels of stakeholders within the organization**
- Act as an advocate for Procurement throughout the business, building brilliant, open and challenging relationships with key stakeholders.

**4. Lead People Capability development**
- Give leadership and motivate people in developing and sharing Procurement competences
- Manage the team
- Support teams capabilities in negotiation, sourcing methodologies and approaches, P2P best practices and Performance management
- Identify areas of improvement, capture and implement lessons learned
- Train procurement and stakeholders teams on tools and systems implemented
- Share best practices and ensure SHV Energy is driven by an “outside in view”

**What we are looking for**:

- University (masters) or MBA level; understanding of different industries, businesses and cultures
- 5+ years Procurement experience or in other business and commercial roles, preferably in different organizations
- Understanding of Procurement and Procurement Transformation programs
- Strong knowledge of related processes, tools, competences
- Project management and Continuous improvement knowledge is a plus;
