**Function description**:
The project is a close collaboration between the labs of Elzo de Wit (Netherlands Cancer Institute) and Jarno Drost (Princess Maxima Centre), as such you will be embedded in both groups. You are expected to work in close collaboration with a wet-lab PhD student.

**Job requirements**:

- We are seeking a talented and motivated PhD student to join our research team working on an exciting project in pediatric cancer biology and computational genomics.

**Required Skills**:

- Strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field
- Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, R)
- Experience with genomic data analysis (e.g., ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, RNA-seq)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

**Desired Qualifications**
- MSc in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field
- Experience with cancer genomics or epigenetics

Join us in our mission to uncover fundamental processes in epigenetic regulation and develop better treatments for children with MRT.

You will be employed for a period of at least four years, with a possibility for extension. For a PhD student the gross salary per month can range from € 3.523;
- to €4.277;
- (salary PhD student scale, according to the Collective Labour Agreement General Hospitals), depending on your experience. The terms of employment will be in accordance with the CAO Hospitals.
