The open position is in our Eindhoven based Rapid Response Team (RRT). The RRT is part of the Data and AI group (D&AI) at Thermo Fisher Scientific. This multi-disciplinary team of focuses unlocking possibilities for the use of Generative AI for our customer products and R&D processes. The RRT is an interdisciplinary group that operates within a tight timeframe of four weeks, progressing from ideation to a proof of concept (POC).

**Responsibilities**:

- Keep up to date with the latest advancements in the field of Generative AI and disseminate that learning in the team.
- Collaborate closely with the AI teams across Thermo Fisher Scientific to define and integrate next generation AI methods into our customers products.
- Drive patent generation in your field of expertise.

**Qualifications**:
We require a hands-on researcher with excellent analytical skills and an intrinsic drive to overcome obstacles.
- Preferably a Ph.D. in Computer Science or AI / Data Science.
- Experience with applied machine learning research, with a focus on generative models such as LLM's, GANs, VAEs, autoregressive models, and diffusion models.

**Additional or Preferred Qualifications**:
Being a highly collaborative and adaptable researcher with great interpersonal skills, integrating well into multidisciplinary teams.
- Able to build connections with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
- The ability to communicate effectively and build meaningful relationships that improve project outcomes and promotes collaboration.
