- Job Title: Marketing Manager - Continental Europe- Location: The Hague- Type: Permanent
- Key Purpose of Role
- Supporting the European Head of Distribution, LSM Senior Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing to provide the full range of marketing and communications plans and activities across Liberty Specialty Markets Europe.
- This role will lead marketing services in Continental Europe in support of the LSM’s business strategy. The role reports to the Senior Marketing Manager and with a matrix line into the European Head of Distribution. The role operates cross-functionally, requiring strong collaboration and communication across several departments.
- Key Responsibilities
- Leading the execution of Continental European marketing activities, collaborating with the wider network of marketing and communications functional experts, including PR, digital marketing, brand, global distribution and internal communications experts. Provide them with the guidance, information and support required to help the successful deployment of campaigns and activities
- Manage annual marketing budget for the region, allocated to individual projects and events
- Develop, deliver and win buy-in for a marketing and communications plan that aligns with business plans and growth priorities, and fits with the company's global brand guidelines and global, regional and product marketing communications strategy
- Develop/implement a system of governance to ensure senior leaders are appropriately informed of deliverables and plans on a consistent basis
- Create and build business buy-in for a clear and differentiated global, regional and product proposition with supporting messaging and tools, working with underwriting, claims and other functions to help them articulate broker and client benefits in an impactful way
- Working with the digital team, track and evaluate data and create reports to monitor campaign efficiency and propose and implement improvements
- Analyze broker insights, trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
- Present and communicate marketing ideas, programs, and strategies to LSM Executives, Regional & Product Leaders and Head of Marketing
- Build and maintain relationships with regional and product leaders, to understand growth objectives, business priorities, market trends, broker/clients, being LSM´s go-to marketing expert in Europe.
- Support trade (ie GVNW, FERMA) and owned events in the region, including on the ground presence to liaise with our partners regarding the logistics of the event and to attend the event itself as a central host/coordinator.Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements forms part of your role, and the demonstration of behaviours as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy, as they relate to your role, is core to LSM's commitment to our Liberty Values, placing customers at the centre of our business and behaving with integrity. - Significant experience as a marketing manager in a marketing department or agency, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels in the organization.
- Influencing and negotiation skills and strong teamwork are essential.
- Strong decision-making skills and able to exercise good judgement in a range of situations.
- Self-management, planning and organizational skills. Demonstrates initiative and enthusiasm. Flexibility and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, or outside of normal work hours as necessary to support the needs of the business.
- Strong understanding of marketing and communication strategy and tactics. Proven experience developing and delivering marketing plans and campaigns.
- Commercial and business awareness. Gravitas and credibility when presenting at a senior level.
- Ability to travel on an ad hoc / infrequent basis.
