**Who we are supporting**
The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:
- Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.
- Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations.
- Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.
- Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.
Overall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO's communication and information technology capabilities.
**The program**
**Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)**
The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO's principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.
To provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorise's: NATO International Civilians (NIC)'s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)'s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.
**Role Background**
The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to describe the services for roll-out of new TEMPEST- certified KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) switches that allow the secure connection of several personal computers to a single set of monitors, keyboard and mouse at user desks, and removing old KVM switches (where required).
The NCI Agency (further referred to as "Purchaser") is seeking a qualified Contractor to perform timely and quality installation of 400 KVM switches at user desks, including the removal of old KVM switches, and perform the necessary asset management activities. The Purchaser estimates that ca. 200 desks are equipped with old switches that need to be removed. Each KVM switch is connected to two input devices - laptop and workstation - via KVM combo cables and as output has two monitors (some desks are equipped with a single monitor), keyboard and a mouse.
The NCI Agency executes a project, which delivers a large quantity of new KVM switches with accompanying cables. This equipment needs transportation to the end user desks, unpacking, installing and successfully connecting to the input sources (laptops and workstations). Existing KVM switches need to be disconnected and transported to the warehouse building for disposal.
**Role Duties and Responsibilities**
- Transport the new KVM switches and cables, including accompanying documentation and certificates, from the warehouse building to the users' desks (another building within the compound);
- Install the new KVM switches at the user desks including necessary connections to the input devices (laptops, workstations) and output peripherals (monitors, keyboard, mouse);
- Verify, and if necessary, troubleshoot, the functionality of the newly installed KVM switches, input devices and output peripherals;
- Disconnect and remove old KVM switches including no longer necessary cables from the user desks and transport them from the user desks to the warehouse building for disposal;
- Record asset management transactions in the Purchaser's asset inventory system.
**Essential Skills and Experience**
**Deliverables**:
- Installation of 400 new KVM switches;
- Removal of ca. 200 old KVM switches;
- Completed asset transactions in the asset inventory system for the 400 new KVM switches;
- Completed asset transactions in the asset inventory system for the ca. 200 old KVM switches.
**Requirements**:
- You shall provide all personnel, transportation, tools, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the scope of the work as described herein, except for those items specified as Purchaser furnished property and services.
