As a robotics laboratory education technician, you will have the opportunity to work in an inspiring university teaching and research environment. You will closely collaborate with lecturers and researchers from the robotics labs of the Department of Artificial Intelligence, where you will provide support to, in particular, associate/full professors with teaching Bachelor's and Master's students. Furthermore, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining the facilities in the robotics labs: commercial and self-developed robotics platforms, computers, and software.

What you will be doing:

- Support teachers in their robotics courses
- Assist with the supervision of Bachelor's and Master's students doing research in the laboratory
- Set up simulations, develop software codes, and build robotics and software
- Support teachers in developing and maintaining new practical courses.

This position will be embedded within the FSE's School of Science and Engineering, which offers fourteen Bachelor's programmes and twenty-six Master's programmes to approximately 7,200 students.

**Qualifications**:

- a Bachelor's or Master's degree (university of applied sciences or university) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field
- experience or affinity with Python and ROS
- experience or affinity with embedded software development in C/C++ and Linux
- experience with 3D printing for manufacturing (e.g. Solidworks)
- practical, demonstrable skills in using robotics platforms (hardware and software)
- affinity with teaching and technical support, preferably in an educational setting
- a B2 level of English proficiency.

Additionally, skills such as independence, willingness to collaborate, a proactive attitude, and communication skills are crucial. You enjoy working with young people from various educational backgrounds and are able to seamlessly integrate into an international group.

**Conditions of employment**:
In accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU), we offer you
- a salary based on qualifications and experience of between €3,072 and € 4,103 gross per month (scale 8, UFO O&O3) based on a full-time position
- 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus based over the annual gross income
- based on a 38-hour working week, you will receive 232 leave hours. If you choose a 40-hour workweek, you will accrue an additional 96 leave hours annually
- a position for one year initially. After one year, an appointment for an indefinite period is possible if mutually agreed upon.
