**Audit Director (Externe Accountant)**

Cohen & Co. Netherlands B.V. is a newly-established, Dutch-registered audit firm, that provides specialised audit services to the global investment management and financial services industries. To meet ambitious goals, we are recruiting for the role of an Audit Director within the firm who will act as independent auditor (Dutch: Externe Accountant) for Dutch statutory audit engagements.

**What we are looking for**:

- Certified auditor (‘registeraccountant’) and member of the Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants (Koninklijke Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants, “NBA”)
- Qualified to act as a statutory auditor (_Externe Accountant_) under the Audit Firms Supervision Act (WTA)
- Experience in working Asset Management, Investment and Securitisation industries including working with Investment Funds and Special Purpose Vehicles (“SPVs”)
- Experience in delivering statutory audit engagements in a public accounting firm (Top 10 experience is a plus) and statutory audit engagements
- Independent thinker, but also a team player with strong analytical, project management, and time management skills
- Strong technical expertise and good knowledge in IT processes is a pre-requisite
- Ability to work within a tight timeline and in a fast-paced environment
- Accuracy and accountability and completion of work to a high standard of technical competence

**What you will be doing**:

- Act as Externe Accountant for Dutch statutory audit engagements.
- Actively work to develop and maintain long-term client relationships and in developing new business opportunities in the Dutch market. This will involve using existing professional networks and working to develop new networks.
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of engagements (including international engagements) and assume responsibility for management of client deliverables and quality Audit Files.
- Actively work alongside colleagues based in Ireland, Singapore and Cayman Islands to ensure consistent service delivery across offices.
- Responsibility for implementing the Audit quality control framework for Cohen & Co. Netherlands B.V. to ensure compliance with Dutch standards while ensuring consistency with firm-wide approach.
- Responsibility for engagement with the Dutch Supervisory Authority (“AFM”) or other regulatory matters in the operation of Cohen & Co. Netherlands B.V. as may be necessary.
- In conjunction with group resourcing decisions, responsibility for recruiting, developing and coaching members of the team to ensure highest levels of output to clients.
- Responsibility for the professional development of team members and day to day management of staff members based in the Dutch office.
- Due to our expanding global client base, opportunities for international travel may also be available.
