**What do you do?**
Aa Strategic Purchaser you manage and evaluate supplier relationships. You make sure that the supply chain is fully functioning and supporting our Companies in the best way possible. You act cost-consciously and know the importance of good cooperation.
As Strategic Purchaser you will be responsibilities for:
- Exploring the global supplier market with regards to delivery capabilities, delivery reliability and innovation;
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers;
- Creating a Purchasing Plan
- Monitoring developments in materials and production locations on the supplier market
- Advising the various companies on the selection of suppliers;
- Advise on material choices, supplier choices and product prices;
- Making proposals, analyzing and optimizing the Supply Chain;
- Enter assigned rates into the ERP system;
- Drafting and negotiating existing and new long-term purchase contracts with suppliers;
- Support in improvement projects and strategic/critical projects;
- Handling claims to suppliers in terms of price, quality, and continuity;
- Defining and realizing cost reduction program;
- Regularly assessing suppliers on, among other things, delivery reliability, rejection and financial stability.
**Who are you?**
You would be a good fit if you:
- have previous experience in a simular function (buyer/ strategic purchaser / puschaser)
- are commercial, take initiative and have analytical skills
- experience with IT and new content developments will be an advantage
- have excellent Dutch and English language skills
