About the role
You’ll be a key part of our collaborative and expert legal team, which is responsible for the provision of legal services within the EMEA region.
Reporting into a Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll be responsible for providing commercial contract support (supplier, reseller, distributor, property etc), ensuring that contracts meet terms in accordance with the guard rails implemented, with appropriate approvals being obtained.
You’ll provide general competition and consumer law advice, supporting the EMEA region with general legal queries and acting as a business partner for at least one key market within the region. You’ll also support the team with managing external counsel services and payment of invoices.
Where required, you’ll deliver training to the wider business and the legal team, and ensure that our EMEA contract templates are kept up to date.
About you
- A qualified solicitor, with minimum 2 years’ PQE in the UK or an EU jurisdiction
- Fluent in English and comfortable advising stakeholders and drafting legal documents in English
- Able to identify and analyse complex legal issues and confidently challenge clients to understand their goals and rationale for the contracts
- An in-depth understanding and awareness of risk and compliance, enabling you to identify and propose appropriate mitigation options for these risks
- Effective management of and ability to develop trusted stakeholder relationships
- Able to take ownership of tasks, to work on your own initiative, to respond positively to change and play an active role in finding effective solutions
- Highly effective project management skills and a high level of commercial acumen
