**Introduction**

Fast market introduction of ASML’s newest technologies requires efficient teamwork by all disciplines, such as development, manufacturing, supply chain and customer service. The implementation of new and changed hardware, introduced on a daily basis, is crucial for both ASML’s customers and for the ASML business. Being able to do this requires an effective process, coordinating change requests through the product life cycle and securing efficiency and profitability for ASML. In our department we are managing developments to the Configuration Management Processes, besides giving support to a lean execution of the current operations. **Job Mission**

Support the overall Configuration Management performance with expertise on Configuration Management processes and methods:

- Initiate and embed improvements in our cross sector processes;
- Define and maintain Configuration Management methods and way of working;
- Share Configuration Management expertise cross sectors.

**Job Description (general)**

The Configuration Management expert (CM-Expert) will initiate and manage improvements in the CM processes by:

- Working with process capability requirements from process architecture to the development team;
- Identify and connect with the required stakeholders and work towards a solution;
- Validate compliance of solution designs to CM Architecture;
- Prepare impact analysis and business cases for the solutions and bring them to the Change Board;
- Document CM processes and methods to set the standard for ASML CM;
- Train the CM process and expertise within the ASML organization;

**Educational Level**

Academic level in industrial / logistics / engineering or technical business Administration.

**Experience**
- 5 -10+ years of experience in process improvement in configuration management field of expertise;
- Experience with business change management in complex organizations;
- Knowledge of Configuration Management theory, preferably CMII certified;
- Experience with process audits or experience with giving feedback on process adherence;
- Experience with stakeholder management on all levels;
- Experience with PLM and ERP systems in the area of Change Management, Engineering, Production and/or Materials Management.

**Personal Skills**
- Excellent communication and listening skills, with political sensitivity;
- Self-assured, capable of convincing people, also when it concerns specialized content experts;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, work pleasantly with people with differing backgrounds and in different departmental and geographical cultures, at various hierarchical levels;
- Strong analytic capability and a pro-active initiating attitude;
- Results oriented;
- Ability to plan in a dynamic environment and set priorities.

**Context of the position**

The Configuration Management team manages global configuration information, enabling ASML to achieve excellent delivery performance at minimum cost. It creates and controls machine configurations and related master data for ASML's Development & Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and Customer Services departments.

**Position in the Organization**

The CM-Expert reports to the Means & Methods manager Configuration Management within the DE Performance and Integration department.
