**About SOL EL LUNA**
We are seeking a hands-on, flexible Restaurant Manager who can lead by example, manage the team, and occasionally assist with tasks like taking orders, serving, and preparing cocktails as needed.
**Job Overview**:
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all service periods at SOL EL LUNA, including breakfast, lunch, and evening tapas/cocktail hours. This position requires a dynamic individual who is willing to work alongside the staff, handle customer interactions, and ensure consistent high-quality service. You will also be required to provide daily reports to the owners, keeping them updated on the restaurant's performance and any operational issues.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Operational Oversight**: Manage the daily operations of the restaurant, including breakfast, lunch, and evening tapas and cocktails. Ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
- **Team Leadership**: Recruit, train, schedule, and manage the staff, fostering a positive team environment. Step in to assist with service during busy periods or staff shortages.
- **Customer Service**: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by being present on the floor, taking orders, serving, and interacting with guests to ensure their experience exceeds expectations.
- **Cocktail and Beverage Preparation**: Be prepared to assist with preparing cocktails and drinks during busy evening shifts, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- **Financial and Inventory Management**: Manage the restaurant’s financial performance, control costs, and monitor budgets. Maintain and order food, beverage, and supply inventories, minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- **Daily Reporting**: Submit detailed daily reports to the restaurant owners, outlining financial performance, customer feedback, staff performance, and any operational issues or concerns.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**: Ensure that the restaurant adheres to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and guests.
- **Marketing and Events**: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events, such as tapas nights and special cocktail evenings, to attract new customers and retain regulars.
**Qualifications**:
- **10+ years of proven experience** in restaurant management or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Hands-on approach with the willingness to take orders, serve customers, and prepare cocktails as needed.
- Ability to create and submit detailed daily reports on the restaurant’s performance.
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyze sales, and control costs.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is preferred.
