**Your role in the story**
As part of Heerema Marine Contractors, the HR department ensures the right talent is in place to support our offshore industry operations. We aim for operational excellence, both onshore and offshore, as a proactive business partner aligned with the company’s mission and vision.
The HR team seeks an experienced Interim Lead Compensation & Benefits based in Leiden. Your role involves enhancing our rewards strategy and leading a small team of C&B Officers and Payroll Accountants. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure our compensation policies align with business goals and market trends.
**Your Impact as Lead Compensation & Benefits**
- Maintain C&B policies compliant with laws and regulations;
- Align with Work Council and Union Relations on HR topics;
- Manage Global Mobility and expat processes;
- Improve compensation structures and benefits programs;
- Support global entity setups;
- Lead the Compensation & Benefits team.
**Who You Will Work With**
You will lead 3 C&B Specialists and work closely with HR and other departments. As the main contact for the Works Council, you’ll ensure effective communication and alignment.

**What You Will Be Working On**
- Team Leadership: Develop and manage the C&B team.
- Compensation Management: Overhaul compensation structures, manage salary benchmarks, adjustments, and job evaluations.
- Works Council Liaison: Maintain relationships and manage negotiations with unions.
- Expat Management: Ensure compliant expat policies and procedures.
- Global Mobility: Oversee global mobility processes.
- Global Entity Support: Provide C&B expertise for worldwide entities.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to HR/IT projects and drive improvements.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking.
- Manage annual compensation cycles and ensure compliance.
**Key Ingredients for Success**
- Experience: 7-10 years in C&B, including payroll and flexible benefits.
- Education: University degree in Labor/Fiscal Law, HR, or Business Administration.
- Leadership: Proven team leadership and coaching abilities.
- Pension & Insurance: Strong understanding of pension and insurance programs.
- Payroll: Experience with payroll processes and system specifications.
- Flexible Benefits: Skilled in developing and implementing flexible benefits programs.
