As the Senior Manager / Director Sales Execution Retail you are accountable for delivering profitable growth through all retail and cash and carry business in the UK and Ireland. You will be developing and executing the sales strategy for these customers. You will be working closely with our distributing partner to establish and grow our branded proposition. Next to this you will engage with external and internal stakeholder to ensure that customer needs are completely met. You will have 1 FTE reporting into you. You love to go the extra miles for customer and colleagues and you are ambitions to achieve and overdeliver stretch targets.
In this role you report to the Senior Director Sales UK/Ireland.
**What do you do?**
- As a member of the UK and Ireland sales leadership team lead, develop and execute our sales strategy;
- Establish, further develop and implement category plans for target customers / accounts in close collaboration with marketing and channel department.
- Coordinate all the functions involved in the execution of the account plans.
- Full responsibility and accountability to deliver against the annual operating plan (AOP) for the Retail and Cash & Carry business.
- Establish and further develop sales plans for the relevant customer in order to drive new NPD and product listings.
- Build and maintain a strong customer relation network for LW, especially developing and maintaining strategic customer relationships;
- Prepare, plan and conduct contract negotiations in line with the profitable growth strategy and in line with the company governance;
- Monitor the overall commercial performance and oversee LW’s customer contract management;
- Ensure periodical sales reports and accurate records on actual and planned sales, outstanding offers, counters, sales transactions and visits / reports, including the sales performance KPI’s;
- Analyse LW’s commercial performance and take appropriate actions to close gaps;
- Closely align sales and marketing activities by information exchange and joint activities in various markets/countries;
- Represent the Retail & Cash&Carry in the UK/I within LW’s, maintaining close contact with all other departments; Lead the cooperation with cross-functional department/partners in order to create value for the customer and for LW.
**What do you bring**
- Academic working and thinking level; preferably an education at University / MBA level, Economics or equivalent, preferably specialisation in Marketing & Sales;
- Fluency in English;
- A minimum of 10 - 15 years of professional sales experience in international (food or agro) companies
- Excellent knowledge of the Retail UK and Ireland is a must for this function
- Strong international track record of accomplishment in sales and marketing management in international food or agro companies
- Travel 50-60% of the time to meet customers and to headquarters in the Netherland
- Excellent negotiation skills.
As an Sales Director, you are able to maintain excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders in relvant departments within Lamb Weston. Furthermore you are perseverant and have a strong personality.
