**About this position**:

- The European Medicines Agency is looking for a Procurement and Contract Management Officer to play a key role in ensuring operational excellence and compliance with the EU public procurement framework.- In this position, you will work closely with internal stakeholders from the entire Agency, guiding them through the procurement process as their business partner - from identifying business needs to the successful delivery of goods and services. More specifically, as a trusted advisor, you will manage procurement procedures end-to-end, steering EMA business/technical staff through all procurement phases from the drafting of tender specifications to the evaluation and negotiation of the offers ensuring the successful and timely award of contracts.- With a focus on continuous business support, you will also monitor and follow up the contracts after their award, ensuring all legal, administrative and financial aspects are managed effectively in collaboration with legal and financial colleagues. In this way, as well as through training sessions delivered to business colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in sharing procurement knowledge across the Agency.- We are looking for a proactive, solutions-oriented individual who can assess financial and technical risks within the area of procurement and contract management and develop appropriate solutions while contributing to process improvements with an innovative digital mindset.- To be eligible for consideration for this position, you are required to meet the following general and specific eligibility conditions:

1. Enjoy full rights as a citizen of a European Union Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway;
2. Have a thorough knowledge of English (at least level C1) and a satisfactory knowledge of another official language of the European Union (at least level B2);
3. Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by applicable laws concerning military service.**Specific conditions**:
1. Possess a university degree (minimum of three years) in the field of **Procurement or Finance or Business or Law or Public Administration** **that must have been obtained by the closing date of this vacancy notice;- For **general condition 1** and for **specific condition 1** you will be required to provide proof at the interview stage. Failing to present these documents may result in the disqualification from the selection procedure.-

- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in relation to the tasks and responsibilities as described in this vacancy notice.

- Knowledge of concepts of procurement (e.g. procurement principles, purchasing strategy);
- Influencing skills and ability to advise internal stakeholders on procurement and contract management matters.
