**Introduction**

The Finance Business Architect role in the Finance Transformation Office is a challenging position in a dynamic and international-oriented environment with operations on different locations and direct impact on ASML’s enterprise architecture strategy. A position with growth opportunities within ASML, where you can help shaping the Finance function for the future.

**Job mission**

The Finance Business Architect is responsible for translating ASML priorities, business objectives and requirements into enterprise architecture capability designs, structures, processes and policies. The architect translates and aligns business goals, plans and processes with IT counterparts. The Finance Business Architect actively facilitates collaboration and integration across ASML and pursues connections beyond organizational boundaries to find the optimal solutions to achieve the company’s strategic goals. The architect will identify the gaps in our current capability landscape that prevent us from achieving our strategic goals, and make sure we do the right things to realize our future vision.

The Business Architect will motivate and ensure implementation of initiatives, respectfully challenging alignment with strategic goals and cross-sector initiatives.

**Job description**
- Design and protect the overall Finance architectural design, while connecting processes, data and technology.
- Manage and align with stakeholders on strategic non-product-related capability improvement roadmaps within the Finance sector
- Lead, facilitate and coordinate with information management and the business in order to prioritize transformational initiatives and secure acceptance within a roadmap that will close the key capability gaps
- Bring an outside-in perspective and translate into practical opportunities on utilizing emerging technologies (ie. Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) at ASML, and align across sectors on use cases for which proofs of concepts can be initiated
- Ensure all capability improvement solutions within Finance or impacting Finance are designed in line with the architectural framework
- Proactively connect with the organization and the teams we work with. Ensure the role of the business architect is recognized and people know when to involve the architects and how to be of service.
- Collaborate to build the ASML-wide enterprise architecture team which has a mandate for enabling the cycle of ASML Prioritized Initiatives (API’s) in close collaboration with Business Performance Improvement (BPI)

**Education**
- Academic degree in Finance and/or Business Economics or related education.
- Professional Finance certification (RE, RC, RA) and/or MBA is encouraged.

**Experience**
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in a multinational/corporate environment, predominantly in the area of Finance process, data and technology
- Experience within ASML and working with IT is preferred
- Experience with emerging technology is preferred
- Experience in the areas of Finance or Operations Management is preferred
- Consultancy Experience for multiple clients and industries is a plus

**Context of the position**

Within the Finance Transformation Office, the Finance Business Architect reports to the Manager of the Business Architecture team. Primary interfaces include financial controllers, business controllers, corporate financial planning, tax and treasury. Additional interfaces with other corporate sectors functions include amongst others Sales and Human Resources.
