As we prepare to onboard 100+ customers in the next 3 months, we need a hands-on **Chief Product Officer (CPO)** to lead product development and translate customer feedback into practical, technical solutions. Your key task will be to lead the technical build of our communication tool (currently built on OpenAI and WhatsApp for Business), ensuring it’s scalable and easy to use. You will manage the growing dev team, oversee integrations with property management systems, and streamline the customer journey through digital onboarding.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage building the MVP, delivering a scalable AI WhatsApp bot for vacation rental owners.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product features and improvements.
- Manage and grow the development team, including the hiring of UX/UI and back-end developers.
- Oversee integrations with property management systems to streamline onboarding and communications.
- Align the product roadmap with the company's broader strategy and growth objectives.
- Improve the customer journey and implement digital onboarding process for vacation property owners.
**De afdeling**
We are an ambitious early-stage venture in the hospitality tech space, backed by the Achmea Innovation Hub. Founded just 8 weeks ago by Matthijs (who previously founded and exited hotelkamerveiling.nl, a platform that sold over 5 million hotel stays), we are building an AI-powered WhatsApp bot to revolutionize how vacation rental owners and property managers communicate with their guests.
We've secured an additional €300,000 in funding from Achmea, and with paying pilot customers already onboard and over 50 leads in the pipeline, we’re scaling fast.
Current team consists of a fulltime back-end developer, and several parttime developers and UX/UI experts from our venture hub. We are actively hiring for more roles, including a UX/UI designer and additional back-end developers, all of whom will report to you.
**Jouw achtergrond**
- At least 3 years of experience as a C-level executive or founder in a startup environment, ideally in a fast-scaling role.
- Proven experience leading sprints and managing product development teams of at least 10 FTEs, including software engineers and product designers.
- Hands-on experience managing the entire product lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
- A strong background in B2B2C products, with a focus on optimizing user experience and enhancing customer journeys.
- Ability to focus on growing market share, prioritizing practical impact over technical complexity while building solutions that are scalable for future growth.
- Some experience with coding, enabling you to test and validate solutions and communicate effectively with developers.
- Customer-focused and hands-on, with the ability to operate lean and **move quickly** to implement solutions and validate assumptions.
- A strong **co-founder mindset**—someone who can be a true sparring partner for the venture builder and has the ability to take ownership of the product.
- Experience and knowledge of **(Open) AI** is a plus.
