**Market Development Representative**

The Market Development Representative (MDR) is the Agronomy expert within the Customer Facing Unit. This role will focus on value demonstration of our portfolio, knowledge transfer and technical solutions to our partners and customers. The MDR creates variety demand at customer level by identifying and providing technical solutions through a dedicated trialing focus. In this position it is important to interact cross-functionally with key partner functions (i.e. R&D, Marketing, Sales etc.) to develop and execute go to market strategies. The MDR is responsible for Squad P&L together with squad peers

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Demand Creation**: Work cross functionally to implement local launch activities of vegetable varieties (NVIs, MEs) and/or solutions. Demonstrate value and provide technical recommendations that supports customer success. Organize portfolio demo and agronomy events to generate demand. Responsible for Squad P&L together with squad peers.
- **Generate Portfolio Agronomy Knowledge & Recommendations**: Coordinate and conduct Performance, Demand generation and Value-Added (PCM4, CM) trials for portfolio and solution development under local farming conditions with internal and external commercial stakeholders including customers. Provide timely completion of projects, placement of trials to meet the local market needs and responsible for integrity of the data collected. Communicate actionable insights from applied field research that are based upon sound data analysis using appropriate and scientifically rigorous methods.
- **Innovation & Digital**: Embrace digital tools and technologies, utilizing data and insights to offer customer focused solutions and enhance dealers’-partners’ capabilities. Generate high quality data and insights to strengthen the company’s understanding of our portfolio potential and customer’s needs.
- **Knowledge Transfer, Recommendation & Coaching**: Share agronomic and portfolio knowledge as well as market and competitor insights. Advise on crop production/management best practices and positioning tailored solutions to our customers. Provide timely, consistent guidance and feedback to help strengthen specific knowledge and skill areas needed among diverse stakeholder groups to position products, demonstrate value and provide technical recommendations that supports customer success. Executing agronomy trainings for internal teams, dealers, distributors and growers on key Features, Advantages, Benefits (FABs) of the vegetable product portfolio and innovative solutions
- **Business Engagement & Planning**: Secure alignment to the relevant commercial strategy and influence the strategic direction of the breeding and research programs through analysis of market trends, competitive landscape and new technologies.
- **Collaboration**: Build strong-collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic influencers across agriculture and technology industry to provide technical solutions beyond advancements in genetic gain. Work cross-functionally on events (field days, grower summits, grower meetings, etc.) to generate demand for the vegetable portfolio at customers’ level.

**WHO ARE YOU**
- Minimum Bsc. in agricultural or life science, horticulture, genetics, plant pathology & entomology or agricultural business
- Several years of agronomic experience preferred (product development, agricultural consulting, agricultural production, promotion, research)
- Self-motivated and assertive with a strong results orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English
- Strong influencing and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively conduct trainings and knowledge transfer programs
- Analytical, able to convert data to practical-applied knowledge and solutions for partners and customers
- Demonstration of strong results and sales orientation, with dedicated customer focus
- Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-based environment
- Willingness to travel in the squad territory and occasionally across territories
- Excellent overall computer skills and engagement in use of digital tools.
- Driving license “B” category
