At Medtronic Bakken Research Center we are participating in the INSIDE-HEART Doctoral Network programme funded by the European Community through the Horizon Europe Actions. The INSIDE-HEART project focuses on establishing a multi-disciplinary network to tackle the design and the early-phase validation of digital biomarkers, specifically targeting the diagnosis of supraventricular arrhythmias (SVAs) and their associated potential for adverse risk assessment, via the joint combination of signal processing, artificial intelligence, and non-clinical devices.
At Medtronic, we want to specifically investigate the identification of AI based biomarker(s) to assess the evolution of Supra Ventricular Arrhythmias as comorbidity of respiration diseases through continuous monitoring with innovative sensors.
**A Day in the Life**
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the initiation, design, development, execution, and implementation of scientific research projects.
- Plans and executes laboratory research.
- Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the art principles and theories and may contribute to scientific literature and conferences.
- May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.
**Must Haves**
- Masters degree required (0 years of experience is acceptable)
- Experience in biomedical engineering or similar education
- Fluent in English
**Nice to Haves**
- Experience in coding (Python, Matlab etc.)
- Experience in physiological signals (especially cardiac and respiratory signals) and their processing
