**About this vacancy**:
In this role, you will drive research and development on complex interactions involving flow, contaminant transport, and thermal effects, with a primary focus on EUV lithography scanners. Using a combination of theoretical models and experimental setups, you will develop insights into these intricate processes, forming the foundation for next-generation solutions. A significant part of your work will involve translating customer inquiries into simulations, experimental designs, and testing programs, leveraging facilities like our Dynamic Gas Lock Test-Rig, Particle Test-Rig, and EUV-beamline. You’ll lead technical teams to prepare, execute, and analyze tests, reporting results directly to customers and discussing future directions for innovation. Depending on your expertise and interests, you may also support other research areas in metrology development, plasma and vacuum technologies, or European research initiatives.
**What we expect from you**:
- PhD or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in flow/thermal modeling (CFD, DSMC), vacuum science, and applied physics, ideally within a research or industrial setting.
- Practical experimental skills and the ability to execute hands-on research.
- Strong data analysis skills using tools such as Python, MATLAB, or MathCad.
- A precise, adaptable, and resilient approach to your work.
- An interest in advancing the semiconductor industry.
- Natural leadership qualities and experience guiding technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
