Verantwoordelijk voor het leiden van milieuactiviteiten voor de locatie Amsterdam, ervoor zorgen dat de mensen en de locatie voldoen aan de wettelijke voorschriften en aan de procedures, normen en processen van PPG op het gebied van milieu, gezondheid en veiligheid.

Verantwoordelijk voor het opzetten van een effectief managementsysteem voor milieutaken en ervoor zorgen dat alle vereiste milieudocumenten worden bijgehouden volgens de regelgeving en/of PPG-eisen.

Deze functie wordt 100% op locatie in Amsterdam uitgevoerd.

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden - Ontwikkelen en uitvoeren van de Environmental-strategie binnen Amsterdam in lijn met en in overeenstemming met de zakelijke, bedrijfsmatige en regelgevende behoeften
- Ervoor zorgen dat onderwerpspecifieke milieustudies en -beoordelingen worden gepland en afgerond
- Beheren van wettelijke milieuactiviteiten, milieuvergunningen, voert milieu-inspecties uit en beoordeelt de milieu-eisen van de PPG EHS MS
- beheert de milieumetingen die nodig zijn om te voldoen aan de lokale regelgeving en PPG-eisen
- voert periodieke beoordelingen en audits uit van afvalaannemers (op het terrein of op het bureau) om te voldoen aan het Global Waste Stewardship Program
- bereidt de locatie voor op mogelijke inspecties door lokale overheidsinstanties en beheert eventuele vervolgacties/plannen
- Houdt toezicht op en identificeert opkomende milieuproblemen op de locatie
- Controleert en keurt de milieudocumentatie van de locatie goed die is opgesteld door externe adviseur
- Coördineert ISO 14001 audits voor de bedrijven van de locatie
- Zorgt voor de benodigde documentatie voor de locatie voor het opstellen van de BRZO-rapporten en updates in samenwerking met de EHS Manager van de locatie

- Ontwikkelt, implementeert en onderhoudt programma's, systemen en procedures die nodig zijn om de algehele prestaties van de unit op het gebied van milieu, gezondheid en veiligheid te waarborgen.
- Voert uitgebreide onafhankelijke evaluaties uit van het beleid en de procedures op het gebied van milieu, gezondheid en veiligheid
- Individuele medewerker; in staat om werknemers, supervisors en de leiding van de fabriek te beïnvloeden.
- Kan optreden als leidinggevende of technisch expert en geeft functionele leiding en training in de toepassing van het EHS proces en programma's Complexiteit
- In staat om hoge complexiteit en bijbehorende risico's te managen en richtlijnen te geven aan de organisatie.

***Innovatie**:

- Beveelt verbeteringen aan en implementeert deze in processen, ontwerp, procedures en/of bedrijfsapparatuur om de gevolgen voor EHS te mínimaliseren.
- Ontwikkelt oplossingen voor uiteenlopende problemen van gemiddelde omvang en complexiteit. Verwijst naar beleid en praktijk voor richtlijnen.
- Kan goed oordelen en beslissingen nemen bij weinig tot matige ambiguïteit; voert overeengekomen beslissingen uit.
- Neemt deel aan onderzoeken naar incidenten en klachten over gevaren op de werkplek.
- Bereidt de juiste reglementaire rapporten voor.
- Verantwoordelijk voor matig complex technisch werk in een breed scala van milieu-, gezondheids
- en veiligheidsdisciplines onder beperkt toezicht om naleving van de EH&S-normen van de organisatie en van wettelijke vereisten te bereiken. Stelt rapporten op en beveelt corrigerende maatregelen aan.

**Communicatie**:

- Geeft regelgevend en technisch advies aan diverse business unit functies voor complexe lokale, nationale en internationale EHS regelgevende en wetenschappelijke zaken.
- Vertegenwoordigt PPG in commissies van de industrie of overheid om de juiste focus van de inspanningen van deze groepen te waarborgen, te pleiten voor PPG-producten en belangrijke grondstoffen, input te leveren voor nieuwe wet
- en regelgeving en het EHS-imago van het bedrijf te verbeteren bij de collegiale organisaties van PPG.
- Vertegenwoordigen van PPG bij PSM-gerelateerde overheidsinspecties in samenwerking met de EHS Manager van de locatie.

- Het werk wordt uitgevoerd met mínimale instructies.
- Grote vrijheid bij het bepalen van doelstellingen en aanpak van opdrachten.

***Opleiding en technische kennis**:

- Bachelor of gevorderd diploma in milieu of chemie of een verwante wetenschap met mínimaal 3 tot 5 jaar ervaring.
- Werkende kennis van arbo
- en/of milieuregelgeving.
- Werkende kennis van belangrijke bedrijfsgegevens, belangrijkste drijfveren, bedrijfsvisie en productieprocessen/uitdagingen, indien van toepassing.
- Goede vaardigheden in Nederlands en Engels.
