**Result areas of the department**

The Legal function supports Oikocredit including all its branches, representative offices, and group entities. This Legal function supports the mission and business of Oikocredit by providing legal advice and supporting management with managing their Legal and Regulatory Risk (as defined in the Risk Charter) and for overseeing the overall way Legal and Regulatory risks are managed.

**Result areas of the job**

This position will offer legal support in all day-to-day activities of the Department, including but not limited to:
1. Transactional support during periods of high workload.

2. Participation in legal projects such as corporate governance and regulatory compliance with its respective reporting needs.

3. Support with Intellectual Property and Insurance portfolio management.

4. Support the standardization and automation initiatives and management of legal platforms, external lawyer´s management.

5. Provide support to the Compliance Officers with reporting needs, associated projects, monitoring processes, policy creation, trainings and liaison with other departments.

**Education, skills and experience**
- Law Degree; preferably with a specialization in corporate, financial, or civil/commercial law.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to work independently and with great sense of responsibility.
- A committed team player with an international attitude, down to earth, pragmatic, pro-active and result-oriented with strong project management and social skills.
- Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing. Fluency in another language is an asset.
