**Working as a Manager Research & Development (R&D) Microbiology**
As the Manager Research & Development, you will lead a global team focused on developing optimal production processes and microbial products in alignment with Koppert's mission of sustainable agriculture. You will directly manage the Processing team at Koppert-HQ, consisting of 10 FTEs, including senior scientists and research support staff.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence within the Microbiology team, guiding them in translating cutting-edge research into practical solutions that meet the evolving needs of agriculture and horticulture industries worldwide. Your responsibilities include providing strategic direction, inspiring and coaching team members, plotting research strategies aligned with global Koppert objectives, and ensuring effective project execution through resource allocation and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

As a key figure within Koppert Innovation, you will represent the organization both internally and externally, fostering partnerships and collaborations within scientific networks to stay at the forefront of industry advancements. Your leadership, vision, and collaborative approach will be instrumental in shaping the future of microbial solutions at Koppert and driving positive impact in agriculture and horticulture sectors worldwide.

**Your profile**:

- Several years of experience in R&D management within industrial microbiology setting (pharma, biotech, or life-sciences).
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with a focus on continuous development and maintaining a positive team dynamic.
- Experience working in a matrix-structured organization, navigating diverse stakeholder interests.
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in English and Dutch as an advantage.
- Analytical mindset with strategic vision, capable of integrating diverse interests into successful projects.
