Regulatory Operations Associate, Index Governance (S&P Dow Jones Indices)

**The Team**:
The Regulatory Operations Associate will be a member of the Index Governance Operations team at S&P Dow Jones Indices. The team is committed to ensuring that S&P DJI's indices are operated in compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices. The team focuses on maintaining robust governance around index methodologies, methodology changes and consultations, regulatory documentation, and evaluates policies and procedures to ensure adherence to the IOSCO Principles and regulatory requirements.

**Responsibilities and Impact**:
As a Regulatory Operations Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our regulatory operations initiatives. This role involves assisting in the development and maintenance of workflows and policies that ensure adherence to both external regulatory obligations and internal standards.
- Assist in the oversight of index operations, with a particular focus on Benchmark Regulations and compliance with IOSCO Principles.
- Participate in policy reviews and contribute to developing workflows that demonstrate regulatory adherence.
- Support the alignment of the various S&P DJI entities' governance and control framework and oversight of reporting, policies, and procedures.
- Provide oversight of controls for S&P DJI benchmarks under FCA and AFM BMR benchmark administration and endorsement.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Legal to identify and address gaps in regulatory controls. Drive remediation for uncovered gaps as well as issues identified by Compliance and internal/external Auditors.
- Play a role in ensuring that regulatory documentation such as Benchmark Statements, Benchmark Registers, and ESG-related documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
- Contribute to the enhancement of processes and controls across all of Index Governance to improve efficiency, automation, and standardisation.

- A proactive self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to financial benchmarks and IOSCO Principles is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

**Additional Preferred Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of indices and financial benchmarks
