Internship: Adhesive Joint Modelling and Testing

This role is based in Delft, The Netherlands, and will require you to be present at the office most of the time. The duration of the internship is 4-6 months.
**Responsibilities**
- Design and analyses of composite specimens.
- Manufacture and test composite test specimens.
- Validate and calibrate models with test results.
- Extrapolate results to other models and components.
- Help the team with the design, manufacturing, and assembly of the Mk-IIB spaceplane.
**Requirements**:
- Currently enrolled in a MSc. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Experience with Finite Element Modelling, preferably in Ansys.
- Not afraid to do both theoretical and practical tasks.
- Capable to work effectively autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiar with adhesive joint behavior and modelling.
**It would be great if you are**
- Experienced with composite manufacturing techniques.
- Experienced with the engineering process from design and analysis to testing and validation.
- Familiar with aircraft design standards.
- Experienced with computer-aided design, preferably SolidWorks.
- A problem-solver and able to take ownership of a project.
