**Tasks & responsibilities**:
- Develop effective working relationships with the operational departments, various accounting teams and other key business stakeholders.
- Support the annual service charge reconciliations and ensure that agreed deadlines are met. Coordinate with the Real Estate & Customer Experience teams and assist the senior accountants with complex cases.
- Manage the insurance claim policy on European level and ensure that recurring reviews are performed and necessary actions are taken.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of all property accounting related balance sheet accounts. Perform final reconciliations, investigate and explain any unreconciled items and prepare action plans to correct the differences noted.
- Perform various analysis. Review operating revenue, define and post related rent leveling, rent accruals and prepaid. Compare current month actuals versus prior month actuals, current quarter actuals versus prior quarter actuals etc.
- Review the tenant leases and calculate rent leveling where necessary.
- Provide status updates, KPI's, document and implement accounting processes to ensure appropriate level of internal control for all responsible processes.
- Work closely with RPA team on existing automations and propose further improvement ideas. Participate in European process improvement initiatives for efficiency and standardization.
- Perform monthly and quarterly closing activities in line with corporate closing calendar, and ensure compliance with accounting rules (local, US-GAAP, LUX-GAAP and IFRS) and company accounting policies. Such as accruals and prepayments.
- Offer support in the statutory processes, assist, and provide internal/external auditors, controllers, accounting management, and other members of the accounting team with accurate financial information.
- Develop into a Subject Matter Expert in Property Accounting processes and act as backup to other property accountants.
