Job Title: Global Category Manager Crown Corks
Job purpose: As a Global Category Manager for Crown Corks, you will play a vital role in leading the crown corks category to ensure the seamless supply of crown corks for our operations. Your responsibilities will include leading the Global Category of Crown Corks managing the global category spend, conducting various procurement activities, market analysis, negotiating with suppliers, and contributing to process improvements within the crown corks category along with leading your own projects independently.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sourcing & Procurement: Sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing crown corks from suppliers to meet production requirements.
2. Upstream Opportunities & Should Cost Analysis: Explore viable upstream opportunities in different geographies as well as conducting should cost analysis on the spend for enhanced portfolio insights.
3. Strategic Market Insights: Analyse market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
4. Industry Knowledge & Trends: Stay informed about industry developments, new technologies, and emerging trends in crown cork manufacturing and procurement.
5. Allocation Optimization: Analyse supplier footprints and evaluate the what, why & how of supplier awarding during tendering processes.
6. Cost Savings Identification: Identify cost savings opportunities and find synergies across different operations to reduce costs.
7. Day To Day Topics: Be the first point of contact and escalation in helping resolve topics related to delivery issues, claims resolution and other day to day topics.
8. Cross Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including countries, production, quality assurance, and finance, to ensure alignment on procurement objectives and priorities.
9. Supplier Qualifications & Enhancement Projects: Co-ordinate supplier qualification and evaluation processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements including leading light weighting projects.
10. Technology Utilization: Utilize advanced tools and technologies for data collection, analysis, and visualization to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of competitive intelligence activities.
EXPERIENCE & PROFILE
WHAT
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related field, with a focus on cost benchmarking and supplier performance analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
