Role and Responsibilities

Your role

The E-Store Category Head leads the CE category & Demand Analyst team (5 FTE) and is part of the Samsung eStore MT. The CE category consists of AVD (TV & Audio), HAD (Whitegoods) and Display (Computer monitors). In this role you are responsible for driving the CE online category strategy & development, reaching company Turnover targets, increasing your internal Share of Business (SoB), securing product category Profit, internal Stakeholder management, strong S&OP performance (Supply & Demand Management) and creating/managing a successful self-driven team.

Your responsibilities

Team Management (40%)
- Collaborative Working Environment: Foster a team atmosphere that encourages collaboration and strong team spirit across the full E-Commerce team.
- Business Coaching: Provide business coaching to team members, helping them to develop in their roles.
- Individual Development: Focus on developing individual team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel.

Business Development & Strategy (30%)
- Goal Setting: Collaborate with individual specialists to determine quarterly and yearly goals for each product group.
- Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement online product and channel strategies, enhance consumer experience, and generate innovative business ideas to boost sales.
- Market Understanding: Deeply understand the consumer electronics market, competitors, and consumer behavior to build a winning sales proposition.
- Pricing & Promotions: Monitor and adapt pricing and promotion strategies to maintain a competitive market position and drive sales while managing profit. Ensuring a flawless execution of the set strategies.

Stakeholder Management (20%)
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Samsung product divisions to align, report, and influence internal stakeholders.
- Representation: Ensure a good representation of the E-store team and a clear understanding of organizational priorities.

Reporting & Analysis (10%)
- Status Reporting: Regularly report business status, progress, and outlook on goals and objectives to senior management on local, EU, and HQ levels.
- Product Division Meetings: Host monthly product division meetings to align on relevant topics and ensure coordination across teams.
- Forecasting: Translate business strategy into weekly product-level forecasts to ensure good business insights and stable supply.

Additional Responsibilities
- Value Proposition: Continuously improve consumer value propositions based on detailed follow-up and solid business cases, driving innovation to make Samsung the best place to buy for consumers.

Your skills and qualifications

(Requirements)
- Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
- (Proven) experience as a Product or Category Manager, preferably within an E-commerce or digital environment.
- Experience or knowledge of Consumer Electronics is not required, but a strong plus.
- Analytical skills and ability to translate insights into winning strategies.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a good business acumen and sense of ownership.
- Able to drive and motivate a team.
- A passion for technology, innovation, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
