**Your role and work environment**

Transaction Services (TS) is one of Wholesale Banking's (WB) main business lines. We offer a suite of WB products and services to corporate and institutional clients. We are a significant contributor to the growth and profitability of the WB. Our strategy is aimed at ensuring that we continue to support sustained growth for the WB by delivering competitive and relevant Transaction Services products.

The Balance Sheet Management (BSM) team is part of the TS Strategy and Balance Sheet Management department, reporting to the Head of Strategy & Balance Sheet Management.

The BSM team is responsible for meeting the Net Interest Income (NII) targets of TS and setting direction and providing tools to meet the balance sheet level targets. The Balance Sheet Management Team provides guidance, executes and reports on TS balance sheet related items. The team has a global scope and works closely with other functions a.o. Global Treasury, TS Sales, TS Product Management, Credit and Financial Risk parties.

**As a Consultant Balance Sheet Management**
- You will report to the Head of Strategy and Balance Sheet Management in your area.
- You have a strong vision on how to manage the TS Balance sheet.
- You continuously work on improving the TS Balance Sheet.
- You are part of the Global ING network and stimulate cross-border collaboration and alignment with the stakeholders.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Provide guidance, executes and reports on TS balance sheet related activities.
- Provide input for setting of the Balance Sheet Targets.
- Contribute to TS Balance Sheet management policies, TS Balance Sheet asset and liabilities ratios.
- Initiate actions to optimize liquidity and balance sheet management in line with FR, GT, LS, FM, and Alco’s steering.
- Initiate actions to enhance fee and interest income on accounts and balances, across countries and currencies.
- Execute activities related to the interest rate policy, Interest rate services and liquidity accounts.
- Perform the activities for the TS Benchmark office.
- Advise on B/S related topics such as RWA, cost pricing, funding & liquidity to TS business.
- Ensure that TS regulatory (BMR/IOSCO) benchmark framework is set up and maintained.
- Ensure compliance with ING’s policies and standards.
- Maintain contacts with stakeholders within Wholesale organization and domestic banks like DBNL/BE and external parties and stakeholders.
- Advice (TS) Sales on interest product and services & Advice the pricing committee on pricing proposals on tailored interest conditions.
- Own interest product and services.

**Proven **track record** and technical skills**
- Master’s degree
- Proven track record in a similar function.
- 4-8 years of experience in balance sheet management or related activities.
- Strong analytical skills, hands on; able to present concise and accurate reports to a senior internal audience.
- Experienced in producing metrics and KPI’s and evaluating these to manage performance.
- Experience /affinity with Wholesale Banking Product Area(s) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
