Two Temporary Lecturers in Cultural History

As a lecturer in the Cultural History section of the department of History and Art History, you will be responsible for teaching a wide range of courses at all levels of the BA Geschiedenis and the BA History.

- teaching experience with undergraduate students and a commitment to the supervision of theses and internships;
- a clear teaching philosophy, briefly outlined in a statement in which you reflect on your teaching beliefs and practices, and what skills and knowledge you bring to an education team - include this statement in your motivation letter;
- completed an MA or RMA in History;
- full proficiency in Dutch and English (minimum C1 level for both);
- the ambition and ability to contribute fully to the academic life of the group and the department.

We offer:
- a position for a maximum of four years, starting 15 August 2024;
- a working week of 28 hours and a gross monthly salary between €4,332 and €5,929 in the case of full-time employment (salary scale 11 under the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU));
- 8% holiday pay and 8.3% year-end bonus;
- a pension scheme, partially paid parental leave and flexible terms of employment based on the CAO NU.
