We seek an energetic Project Leader Novel Traits, within the global R&D team at CRV. With one of the largest dairy phenotyping programs internationally, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide-range of global research projects. This role coordinates data collection and measurement for a range of novel traits such as methane emissions, feed efficiency and health, using highly innovative technologies. The role also includes the demonstration of the value of these traits through effective science communication to internal and external stakeholders. As part of the R&D Team at CRV you will contribute to the development of strategy and new ideas in sustainability and resilience in global dairy and beef production systems.

**Job description**

You proactively coordinate the data collection for several traits (for instance feed intake, methane and hoof health) to support genetic evaluation and are able to improve and/or set up new ways of data collection. You are passionate about sharing results and demonstrating what the value of these projects is for farmers. You work closely together with the farmers on the feed intake data collection farms and also participate actively in networks with other parties to support implementation in practice and further development of your projects. You are easily able to deal with situations of troubleshooting and also thrive in new situations.

As a coordinator data collection novel traits in the R&D team of CRV’s Global Genetics department, you work closely together with our researchers on continuous improvement of CRV’s global breeding programs.

**What do we ask for?**
- A good understanding of the dairy sector, especially in the field of animal breeding and genetics is advantageous.
- Excellent team player, analytical and critical thinking, open-minded and strong communication skills to be able to work across different teams.
- A hands-on person with a great sense of responsibility.
- Good in spoken and written English and Dutch.
- Strong drive for implementation of research findings into practice.
- Someone that likes the alternation of working at the office and visiting farms and other organizations.
