Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare accurate annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Ensure all financial and sustainability reporting meets the legal, regulatory, and company standards.
- Develop and implement reporting processes for new IFRS standards as they are released.
- Collaborate with the sustainability team to collect, analyze, and report sustainability data in line with CSRD requirements.
- Manage the CSRD readiness project to develop and implement sustainability reporting processes with a cross-functional team (sustainability, legal, people, IT)
- Enhance the integration of sustainability metrics into financial reporting.
- Assist in managing the audit of financial and sustainability reports, ensuring thorough and compliant outcomes.
- Keep abreast of developments and changes in reporting standards and sustainability practices.
- Engage with external consultants to ensure compliance with all external reporting requirements.
- Support management in making data-driven decisions by providing timely insights from financial and sustainability reporting.
- Lead the preparation of technical accounting papers, ensuring alignment with IFRS standards and clarity in complex policy interpretations.
- Manage specific technical accounting issues during close periods to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Providing support and continuity in all reporting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
- Proven experience in financial reporting and knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience with or understanding of sustainability reporting and CSRD.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in managing complex, long-term projects with multiple milestones and stakeholders
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite
