This role will be based at The Hague Marriott but will give exposure to the whole portfolio in Europe/UK.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing Exceptional Guest Service
  • Completing accurate input of reservations (manual input and reservation checks of direct bookings)
  • Ensuring guest preferences have been applied, upsell opportunities have been exploited and reservation information is accurate during arrival checks
  • Maintaining effective communication with each respective property's operations team
  • Following sales techniques to maximize revenue and understand the needs of the customer
  • Avoiding any miscommunication or misunderstandings that could negatively impact the guest experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all customer queries are handled efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain effective communication systems within the department
  • Attend meetings, training sessions and workshops to stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures
  • Be available to work outside normal office hours as required

Requirements

  • Previous work experience as a reservations agent or similar role in the hotel industry
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch is preferred but not required. Additional language is a plus.
  • Hands-on mentality, ability to multitask and work independently
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Eye for detail and eagerness to always go the extra mile
  • Previous experience with Opera and or Marriott's Reservations system is strongly preferred.

Estimated Salary Range: €45,000 - €60,000 per year
