Candidates should meet the following qualifications: (i) a recognized undergraduate degree in Chinese Medicine that is registrable with the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong, along with a Ph.D. in Chinese Medicine or related fields; (ii) significant experience in clinical practice, teaching, and course development at the tertiary level; (iii) a demonstrated history of impactful research and scholarship, evidenced by high-quality publications, successful external funding, supervision of postgraduate research students, and interdisciplinary collaborations; (iv) a strong dedication to advancing Chinese Medicine education, with a focus on innovative teaching methods and curriculum development; (v) fluency in both Chinese and English.
The successful candidate will engage in various responsibilities, including delivering healthcare services, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervising research postgraduate students, and conducting academic research. Administrative duties will also be part of the role. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered for the position of Assistant Professor.
A competitive salary will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with annual leave and medical benefits. The position includes a contract-end gratuity and contributions to a retirement benefits scheme, which can total up to 15% of the basic salary. Housing benefits may also be provided where applicable.
