The successful candidate will have a passion for driving improvements through motivating people without compromising safety and compliance. With a comprehensive knowledge of lean practices, processes, and the manufacturing industry, you will be responsible for coordinating and prioritizing all continuous improvement activities for the Manufacturing department.

As a key member of our team, you will facilitate the continuous improvement rollout, track progress, and drive the identification, prioritization, and execution of all continuous improvement actions and behaviors. You will also serve as a coach and mentor, training employees at all levels of the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and managing risks and stakeholders for manufacturing deployments
  • Conducting re-calibrations and health checks with manufacturing management on CI progress
  • Supporting the Manufacturing Management Team in leading the CI journey
  • Couching & mentoring manufacturing people at all levels on CI tools, culture, and methodology
  • Performing maturity assessments at manufacturing
  • Developing long-term CI plans for the manufacturing organization and supporting their implementation
  • Assisting in creating, modifying, organizing, and leading key training for all levels on manufacturing
  • Assisting in identifying, creating, and validating new Best Practices and supporting their implementation

You will also lead the CI program on site, proactively manage risks, stakeholders, and milestones, and assist the Regional Operational Excellence Lead in setting up the preparation phase of the deployment.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification (preferably)
  • Coaching, mentoring, and group facilitation skills
  • Interpersonal and motivational skills; people-solving skills
  • Problem-solving and project management skills
  • Affinity with working within a production environment
  • A natural tendency to bring people together and communicate effectively across multiple levels
  • A strong result orientation
  • Excellent organizational skills, comfortable with detail, and good at 'follow-through'
  • Knowledge and skills in management of change
  • A good team player personality, positive working attitude, and high service orientation
  • Fluency in Dutch and English (spoken and written)

We offer a challenging position with plenty of opportunities for growth and development within Covestro. The salary range for this position is approximately €72,022 to €109,819 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. We also offer a pleasant working atmosphere, a form of contract to be determined by mutual agreement, an interesting pension plan, 25 vacation days, and a BenefitShop budget of 7% of your annual salary.
