Senior Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products by planning, developing, and executing tests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building high-quality software applications and a focus on delivering results in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement test automation frameworks to streamline our testing process.
  • Develop, review, and execute test plans and test scripts for new and existing software products to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Collaborate with our development team to identify and implement best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability.
  • Set up the infrastructure to run tests, including running tests in CI/CD, running tests in parallel, and running tests with the appropriate test data.
  • Submit, track, and escalate any product issues found during testing to ensure they are resolved.
  • Mentor and train other engineers as needed to ensure our team has the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality software products.
  • Work closely with our product and development teams to contribute to planning and design, reviewing product code, and formulating test scenarios.
  • Interface with other members of our Product and R&D departments to effectively communicate and resolve all reported issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the support of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automation testing strategies.
  • Understand and be aware of code changes that may impact test coverage and execution.
  • Understand the core principles behind a software solution architecture and initiate process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant software testing work experience.
  • Experience with QA processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests.
  • Experience with Javascript or other coding languages.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture concepts - AWS/Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure/AWS DevOps, GitHub, TeamCity, SonarQube, Artifactory, GitHub actions, Terraform, etc.).
  • Experience with performance testing.
  • Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, security testing, and testing tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative and drive; self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented; creative and analytical.
