CWI is seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher to join our team in Amsterdam. We are hosting a one-year project focused on developing practical and efficient methods for adaptive sequential testing.
This project is a collaboration between CWI and research institutions in Amsterdam. We are looking for a researcher with a strong background in statistical learning theory, mathematical statistics, and/or bandits. The ideal candidate has worked on pure exploration problems and has a proven research talent.
The postdoctoral researcher will spend four days a week at CWI and one day at research, within a short bicycle ride. The terms of employment are in accordance with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Research Centres.
The gross monthly salary for an employee on a full-time basis, depending on relevant work experience, ranges from €4,218 to €. The appointment will be for a period of one year. Employees are also entitled to a holiday allowance of 8% of the gross annual salary and a year-end bonus of 8.33%.
CWI offers attractive working conditions, including flexible scheduling. The researcher will have the opportunity to work on a challenging project with a talented team and contribute to the advancement of adaptive sequential testing.
Requirements
The candidate is required to have completed their PhD in mathematics or computer science. The researcher should have a strong theoretical background, good academic writing and presentation skills, and an excellent command of English.
