Job Summary:

Muhlenberg College seeks an experienced Assistant Coach, Men's to provide leadership and support to all facets of the men's athletic program.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the general direction of the head coach, provide leadership and support to all facets of the program in advancing the mission of the College and Athletics department.
  • Support the head coach in administering a competitive NCAA Division III program in accordance with college, NCAA, and Centennial Conference policies.
  • Counsel and support student-athletes in realizing their potential for personal growth and development as student-athletes and members of the general college community.
  • Attend practices, training sessions, team meetings, and matches (home and away).
  • Assist in team promotion through social media and video breakdown.
  • Promote strong parent, alumni, and community relations.
  • Plan and evaluate program results.
  • Attend meetings and training as required by the head coach, Athletics department, and College.
  • Assist in achieving team success within and beyond the conference.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Related professional experience or a combination of professional and athletic experience leading to a similar qualification.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and engage with a varied audience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Flexibility of time necessary to make commitment to varying time needs of the position.
  • Successful completion of satisfactory background checks.
