About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Amsterdam. As a key member of our financial department, you will be responsible for preparing and managing financial statements, ensuring compliance with Dutch GAAP, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Dutch GAAP.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting administration, including month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and provide necessary information to accounting support staff.
  • Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as required.
  • Manage the annual audit process, including coordination with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements (AFM, DNB, Tax Authorities).
  • Maintain and enforce internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Provide financial insights, including projections, liquidity needs, and performance metrics.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within accounting workflows and propose solutions.
About You

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong financial analysis skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment prioritizing accuracy and compliance. Your expertise in Excel and accounting software (Exact) is essential, as well as your proficiency in Dutch GAAP and VAT.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Accounting and/or Finance required.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services, asset management, or investment firms.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (required).
