Data Engineer Job

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Engineer to contribute to the development of a future-proof application landscape within the Finance and Risk domain by reengineering in Azure native tooling.

The selected candidate will work on re-designing the Sourcing application of Capital and Control chain as part of the SSF Only Sourcing initiative. This will involve creating technical detailed designs with peers, developing, testing, and deploying applications and frameworks, collecting, loading, preparing, cleaning, and delivering big and diverse datasets, building, monitoring, and maintaining pipelines, optimizing application performance and data delivery, identifying ways to improve data quality framework and efficiency, and aligning and collaborating with stakeholders, product owners, and architects.

About the Role

You will be part of the Capital & Control Chain (C&CC) team within the IT Value cluster, which follows an agile scrum approach with two-week sprints, prioritized by the Product Owner in consultation with stakeholders and the Development Team.

The team is open and informal, with a diverse mix of nationalities, junior/mediator/senior ratio, and inclusive environment. While some team members work from Romania, others work from the Netherlands.

This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, expertise in Python/pyspark frameworks/libraries, knowledge of Spark for performance improvement, expertise in SQL, experience with Azure data tooling (Databricks, Data Factory, Azure DevOps, etc.), experience with building ETL data pipelines, experience with using CI/CD pipelines and Continuous Testing, configuration management, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and cloud implementations on Azure.
