Job Title: Chief Officer Multicat

Job Summary:

Oceanwide is seeking an experienced Chief Officer to join our team on Multicat vessels. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations, managing navigation and deck operations, and overseeing lifting/crane operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate navigation and maneuvering operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Oversee lifting/crane operations on deck, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Lead the deck crew, securing loose items and performing maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of maritime skills and safety among the deck crew.
  • Ensure compliance with international maritime laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to voyage planning and monitor weather conditions.
  • Act as a liaison between the Master and crew for smooth communication and operation.

Requirements:

  • STCW certificates, including a valid COC Chief Officer.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a maritime leadership role at sea, preferably in tugboat operations.
  • Exceptional navigation skills.
  • DP-full certificates and experience with crane handling/operations.
  • Deep knowledge of maritime legislation, with a focus on tugboat operations.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
