The Position
We are seeking an experienced Steakhouse Assistant General Manager to join our team at MR PORTER AMSTERDAM. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations, leading and inspiring the team, and maintaining high standards of service. Your primary goal will be to create an exceptional guest experience, ensuring every guest leaves with unforgettable memories.
Key Responsibilities
Support the General Manager in managing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring seamless service and high standards.Develop and implement effective operational strategies to drive business growth.Lead, inspire, and motivate the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.Ensure seamless communication between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams.Handle guest requests, feedback, and any issues that may arise during service.Enforce adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role in a fast-paced, fine dining hospitality environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- A commitment to high standards of service, with a passion for hospitality and attention to detail.
- Flexible and proactive, able to adapt quickly to changing needs in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
- Based in Amsterdam or nearby (flexible with commuting).
