Job Description

As part of the Odysseus project, we are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to work on the development of hybrid ceramic membranes for the concentration of saline streams by electrodialysis. The successful candidate will join the Inorganic Membranes group at the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology, University of Twente.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop hybrid ceramic membranes with optimized properties for electrodialysis
  • Conduct experiments to evaluate membrane performance and separation efficiency
  • Collaborate with the research team to integrate membrane technology with electrodialysis
  • Contribute to the development of a sustainable and cost-effective technology for water and salt recovery
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Excellent experimental and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English
