PhD Position in Ceramic Membrane Engineering for Electrodialysis

As part of the Odysseus program, we are seeking a PhD student to work on the development of hybrid ceramic membranes for the concentration of saline streams by electrodialysis. This project aims to combine the advantages of well-designed porous ceramic nanostructures with organic surface functional groups to create high-performance membranes.

Key responsibilities will include designing and synthesizing ceramic membranes, characterizing their properties, and optimizing their performance. The successful candidate will work within the Inorganic Membranes group at the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology and collaborate with end-users and other researchers.

Requirements include a master's degree in chemical engineering, material chemistry, or a related field, as well as excellent experimental, analytical, and communication skills. Fluency in English is also required.
